Lower than the Angels
Hebrews 2:9-18
Our human minds strain to comprehend all that was involved when Jesus became a man. What we do know is that He who is worshipped by Angels (Heb 1:6) allowed Himself to be made a little lower than the angels (Heb 2:9) when He took on Himself the seed of Abraham.
Why?
So that He could taste death for all men and so deliver us from the fear and bondage of death and destroy him that had the power of death.
Because Jesus humbled himself, became ‘like us’ and suffered for us death no longer has any hold over us. What a Saviour!
