How you can be 100 % sure of where

 you will spend eternity

• Realize and acknowledge:"all have sinned and come short of the glory of God," Rom 3:23 
  Yes, all men including you, have come short of Heaven because of sin.
  
   Realize and acknowledge:"the wages of sin is death," Rom 6:23 
  All men die physically, but all men do not die spiritually. You can be born again through Jesus Christ and be saved from the penalty of sin which is and eternal Hell, a place of "fire and brimstone, which is the second death," Revelation 21:8
   

• Realize and acknowledge:"Christ died for our sins" 1 Cor 15:3 
  Jesus Christ paid the entire price on the cross for your sin. God set the price on sin, which was a perfect sacrifice, and then God Himself gave His own Son to pay the price.
   

• Realize and acknowledge:"the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord," Rom 6:23
  God offers you freely His gift of eternal life. This gift is yours by believing in a risen Christ who arose on the third day and is alive forever more.
   

• Realize and acknowledge:"Whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved," Rom 10:13
  Whosoever means you, me, my aunt's sister etc. If you by simple faith will trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ for your soul's salvation, you can be 100 % sure that you are going to Heaven. Nothing else will do... not church membership not baptism, not confirmation, not communion. None of these things can save us from sin. ONLY JESUS CHRIST 
   

Here is a prayer that I would encourage you to pray though I must caution you that it is not the prayer itself that will save you. ONLY JESUS CHRIST can do that. What's important is that this prayer be simply that desire that is in your heart. If you pray it in faith (believing what God has said), Christ will save you. Christ will respond to the faith in your heart. Don't back away for He has promised that He will receive all who come to him. Here is the prayer.

O God 
I know that I have sinned and that I cannot save myself. I thank You that Christ died to reconcile me to You. At this moment I accept Him as my sin-bearer. I affirm that His death was for me; I receive His sacrifice in my behalf.
I receive from You at this moment what I do not have. I take the gift of eternal life, which You have promised to those who believe. As best I can I now transfer all my trust to Christ. Thank You for hearing this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord.

Now friend if you have just prayed that prayer, and it was from the heart, by God's word not my word you are assured a place in heaven. You have eternal life. 
This is what God says "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life." John 5:24 
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 1 John 5:10 
 

 

Friend, what would happen to your soul if you were to die this very minute ? 
Well you will either have had your first glimpse of heaven with its euphoria and bliss or your genuine experience of unrelenting horror and regret. Either way, your future will be irrevocably fixed and eternally unchanged.

In those first moments, you will be more alive than you ever have been. Vivid memories of your friends and your life on planet earth will be mingled with a daunting anticipation of eternity. You will have had your first direct glimpse of Christ or your first encounter with evil as you have never known it. And it will be too late to change your address.

​

Two contrasting scenarios come to mind. One is the self-assured rich man who died and went to hades where Christ said he "lifted up his eyes being in torment"(Luke 16:23). All of his faculties were intact: he could see, feel, hear and remember his life on earth. And even today as you may read this, he is still fully conscious, knowing there is no way out of his predicament.

The other picture is of the crucified thief to whom the dying Christ said, "Today thou shall be with Me in Paradise" (Luke 23:43). All of his faculties were intact too; and today he still enjoys the presence of Christ in Paradise.

​

Would you be surprised if I were to tell you that Christ taught that more people were en route to agony than destined to ecstasy? More will be in conscious anguish than in rapturous joy.

​

Is it possible for us to know in this life where we will spend eternity ? Some think not, insisting that about all we can do is hope for the best and count on the mercy of God. After all, we are sinners, and God is holy. There are, the argument goes, too many unknowns too many hidden premises, too many opinions. "Besides," said one man, " I can wait to be surprised !"

On the other hand, it would seem strange indeed if God were to keep us wondering, suspended somewhere between a flickering hope and a persistent doubt. If He is our Heavenly Father as Christ taught, we would expect that such crucial information would be revealed to us. Thanks be it has been.

​

Many good people will join the rich man in hades, not because they were rich but because they were good and are depending on their own goodness to save them. For all their sincerity, they will find themselves on the wrong side of heaven's door.

​

No doubt some surprises await all of us immediately after we die; but it is much better to be surprised about the indescribable glories of heaven than the indescribable agonies of hell.

​

Be wrong about politics; be wrong about cricket, baseball, what ever your favourite sport; be wrong about your career choice; but don't be wrong about where you will spend eternity.
