Staying In The Will Of God
Scripture Reading Romans 12 One of the most sought after things in the Christians life is that of God's will for their lives. The simple answer is found in Romans 12:1-3. Yielding of your body to the Lord and then seeking to renew your mind. Think of things that are above, that is, don't be consumed with the things of the world. Don't let the world form your thoughts and attitudes. Connected to yielding your body to the Lord is following Him in paths of righteousness. One way one can tell if they are not in the will of God is when they act unrighteously. God's will always results in righteous or sanctified acts. 2 Thess. 4:3 tells us "For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication." Once you yield yourself to God and follow Him in the paths of righteousness (Rom 12: 3-21) God will progressively lead you to experience what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Let the words of C. H. Morris be our prayer today.
My stubborn will at last hath yielded; I would be Thine, and Thine alone; And this the prayer my lips are bringing, Lord, let in me Thy will be done. Sweet will of God, still fold me closer, Till I am wholly lost in Thee.
